Where your money goes
As with any charitable organisation, you the supporter wants to know how much money is being raised and, more importantly, how & where that money is making a difference. We're proud to say that the monies raised in recent years have allowed us to provide a unique FREE complementary therapy service for our cancer patients.
- Acupuncture/Reike/Chinese Massage (Darren Rudge)
- Aromatherapy/Reflexology (Kelly Bartlett)
This costs approx. £14,820 per annum for a total of 19 hours per week.
The administrative running costs for the charity are approx. £30,000 per annum.
2008 has seen us fund several research projects into head & neck cancer, polyps & thyroid disease, including the funding of a Data Entry post for a further 2 years @ £9,000 pa and hopefully some state-of-the-art medical equipment totalling around £50,000.
Several small grants of approx. £1,000 have been given to doctors and nurses continuing their studies in this speciality or have requested help with attending specific courses which would aid the care of our head & neck patients on East Ward 5.
