Tom Bromwich ('Get A Head' Chairman)
Tom Bromwich is a chartered surveyor of his own company 'Bromwich Hardy'. Tom, who is married to Sam, has had a total thyroidectomy as have their 3 young children. Tom is a very strong (and grateful) supporter of Get A-Head. He takes on the role of chairing the Ball 2009 and has gathered around him a superb hand-picked committee of well connected business people with a variety of contacts, knowledge and creative disciplines. The Ball 2009 will be a night to remember!

Professor John Watkinson
John Watkinson qualified at the Royal Free Hospital in London, and trained in Head and Neck Surgery at Guys and the Royal Marsden. He has a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine, a Master of Surgery degree (both from the University of London) and holds fellowships in both general surgery and otolaryngology. He was appointed Consultant Head and Neck Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 1992, and two years later was appointed to the Thyroid Clinic. In 2007, he received a Silver award. He also scooped the Hospital Doctor of the Year Award (Surgery Section) 1998-99; George Davey Howells Prize London University for Stell & Maran's Head and Neck Surgery 2000 and Scott Brown's textbook on Otorhino laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery 2008. He is currently a member of the national executive of the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons (BAETS). He's currently president of the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists (BAHNO). In 2009, he was awarded a Hunterian Professorship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Mark Esom
Mark Esom owns Fuel Recruitment, a staffing company specializing in the placement of Contract and Permanent personnel in the IT, Telecoms, Broadcast and construction industries throughout the UK. Mark was introduced to Get A-Head in 2007 through Tom Bromwich and was impressed by the excellent work it does to raise funds for those suffering with head and neck disease. Mark was delighted to be invited to join the Get A-Head committee in January 2009. He lives in Leamington Spa with his wife and two daughters.
